Santa Clara Starts Strong
The Santa Clara High boys’ basketball team began the quest for the program’s 14th Southern Section title Saturday with a 65-32 rout of Milken Community in a Division V-AA game at Santa Clara.
Reserve guard Anthony Camper led the Saints (18-4) with 13 points and was one of 11 Santa Clara players to see action.
Other Saint standouts included forward Nick Jones, with eight points and 10 rebounds, point guard Peter Lee with 11 points and forward Scott Sorich with seven points.
