Bulls Activate Backup Brown

Randy Brown, who has become a valuable backup guard for the Chicago Bulls, was activated from the injured list after missing six games because of a sore ankle. Backup center Bill Wennington (foot) replaced him on the list. . . . Portland’s J.R. Rider missed Monday night’s game against the Chicago Bulls because of the death of his cousin. The Trail Blazers put Mitchell Butler on the injured list with a buildup of fluid in the left knee and signed guard Rumeal Robinson to a 10-day contract. Robinson, with the Blazers last season, was with the Lakers this season until being traded to Phoenix.
