Alemany 68, Ganesha 48--A strong second half saved the Indians in a Division III-AA game at Pomona Garey High.
Alemany (23-4) trailed, 24-22, at halftime after being held to five points in the first quarter.
Angel Hines of Ganesha (14-11) scored 13 of her 21 points in the first half despite being double-teamed.
But Alemany held Hines to five points in the third quarter and outscored Ganesha, 21-12, to take a 43-36 lead into the fourth quarter. Hines fouled out with five minutes remaining.
Kelli Kobayashi had 26 points and eight steals, and Kate Beckler added 15 points for the Indians.
Bell-Jeff 50, Santa Maria St. Joseph 39--Jaclyn Johnson had 16 points, 18 rebounds and five blocked shots for the Guards in a Division IV-A game at Hancock College.
St. Bernard 66, Paraclete 46--Kim Whisler had 22 points and Alicia Parra added 18 as the Spirits (21-4) lost a Division IV-AA game at El Segundo High.
Santa Ynez 56, Fillmore 36--April Kozar scored 22 points, but Fillmore (21-6) lost to the top-seeded Pirates (24-2) in a Division IV-AA game at Santa Ynez.
Santa Maria Valley Christian 56, Cornerstone Christian 44--Julie Siefert scored 16 points and Karri Becker had 17 rebounds, but the Eagles (21-3) lost a Division V-A game at Righetti High.
