Tyler Ferrer’s two-run, sixth-inning double broke a tie score and lifted Pepperdine to a 10-9 victory over Fresno State in a nonconference baseball game Tuesday at Pepperdine.

The Waves (7-10) notched their third consecutive victory after rallying from deficits of 5-0 and 6-1. Ferrer’s game-winning hit capped a four-run rally that began with Fresno State (9-11) holding an 8-6 lead.

In the ninth, Fresno State loaded the bases and scored a run on a wild pitch by reliever A.J. Samadani. Samadani, however, got a groundout to end the game and record his first save. John Workman (1-2) pitched two innings to earn the victory.
