Outlook: In all her years coaching the Barons, Kelly said this team is the best she has had. “As far as ability and desire, this team can’t be beat,” she said. With tremendous depth at every stroke, Kelly said, the team will be led by Motschman (butterfly), Dotts (breaststroke) and Tjoa and Wang (freestyle). Also look for Laurent to help out in the relays. And their goals? “When we were the top team in the county two years ago, a lot of those girls who are on the team now were sophomores back then. They want to be the best in the county again,” Kelly said. “They’re hungry, and they want to beat Irvine and win [Southern Section].”
