Pacific 68, Boise State 52--Corey Anders scored 20 points and Mark Boelter had 17 as the Tigers, bidding for their first Big West tournament championship in 18 years, beat the Broncos.

Anders also had 13 rebounds, helping Pacific (22-5) gain a 31-21 rebounding edge. Boise State (14-13), playing in its first Big West tournament after joining the conference this season, remained winless in four meetings against Pacific.

The Tigers, who haven’t gone to the NCAA tournament since winning the Big West title in 1979, advanced to today’s semifinals against Utah State.

Utah State 81, UC Santa Barbara 66--Marcus Saxon scored 25 points, including 10 consecutive free throws in the final 2:20 of the game, to lead the Aggies.

Utah State (20-8) led from the opening tip and withstood several second-half rallies by the Gauchos (12-15).

Utah State’s Maurice Spillers had 21 points and tied teammate Antwan Smith with a game-high 11 rebounds.
