Orange Coast’s softball team must forfeit two victories for using an ineligible player, Athletic Director Barry Wallace announced Wednesday.

The team will forfeit a 4-0 victory over Saddleback in Orange Empire Conference play Feb. 26 and a 6-5 victory over Cuesta College at the Fresno City College tournament March 8.

The player in question had not been cleared for participation because her name was not placed on the official eligibility list required by the state athletic code, Wallace said. The Pirates are 4-9, 1-5 in conference.
