Former Cal Lutheran baseball Coach Rich Hill, now the coach at the University of San Francisco, is back in the area for a West Coast Conference doubleheader against Pepperdine at noon today in Malibu.

First-place Pepperdine (17-15, 5-0 in the WCC) opened the four-game series Thursday with a 6-2 victory over the Dons. The Waves feature ace left-hander and designated hitter Randy Wolf (5-2), who pitched Thursday.

For the record: Former Pierce College pitcher Jason Warren is playing at UNLV, not San Francisco, as reported here last week.

San Francisco (14-16, 2-3) has three pitchers from the region: Ray Rivera from Mission College, Jason Warren from Pierce College and Rich Igou from Notre Dame High.
