Waterfront Festival a First for Virginia

Six Virginia cities this week launch an ambitious, 18-day arts festival with performers ranging from jazz great Ramsey Lewis to Germany’s Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra.
The Virginia Waterfront International Arts Festival, headquartered in Norfolk, offers classical and contemporary music, dance, visual arts and theater from Thursday through May 11. The other venues are Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Hampton, Newport News and Portsmouth.
