Right-handed pitcher Robby Christianson was sent to extended spring training Sunday to make room on the roster for right-hander Jeff Farnsworth. Christianson was 0-1 with a 2.08 ERA in 4.1 innings. . . . Monday night’s 4-3 victory over San Bernardino was the JetHawks’ first one-run victory since April 10. The JetHawks are 3-8 in one-run games. . . . On Monday night, JetHawks did not have an error for the fourth time in 19 games. . . . First baseman Robert Fick (Cal State Northridge, Ventura College, Newbury Park High) had seven hits in 14 at-bats through Monday for Class-A West Michigan. He had five RBIs, a homer and four doubles, lifting his average to .366.

Second baseman Dave Newhan (Pepperdine) has been sitting on a .444 average (12 for 27) for two weeks for Class-A Visalia because of a sore wrist. Newhan is expected to return this week.

Scanning Monday box scores: Right-hander Roger Salkeld (Saugus) pitched five scoreless innings for triple-A Indianapolis, but did not get a decision. . . . First baseman Kevin Millar (Hart) hit his fourth and fifth home runs and drove in five for double-A Portland, Maine. . . .
