Lancaster Spins Its Wheels

Chris Dean and Shawn Buhner had run-scoring singles during a five-run fifth inning of the second game to give the Lancaster JetHawks a doubleheader split with a 7-1 victory over the Stockton Ports on Wednesday night at Billy Hebert Field.

Denny Bonilla (5-3) allowed two hits and struck out two over the final 2 2/3 innings for the JetHawks.

In the first game, Toby Kominek and Miguel Rodriguez hit two-run home runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to break open a one-run game and give Stockton a 7-2 victory.

Kominek hit his home run off Chris Beck (1-4) and Rodriguez followed two batters later against Aaron Scheffer.
