JetHawks Get Sweep After Ports’ Scare
The Lancaster JetHawks survived a ninth-inning scare to beat the Stockton Ports, 8-7, and completed a three-game California League sweep Monday at Lancaster Municipal Stadium.
The JetHawks (31-20) scored four runs in a fifth inning, keyed by a three-run home run by Yuni Kim, and added three in the seventh, with Joe Mathis singling home two.
Joe Mays (6-2) got the win after the Ports scored three runs off two relievers in the ninth, leaving the tying run in scoring position.
