Vigilantes Top Sonoma County
The Vigilantes won their third consecutive game by beating the Sonoma County Crushers, 3-2, on Willie Mosher’s home run in a Western Baseball League game Thursday.
The Crushers (21-14), who are in first place in the South Division, scored twice in the second inning in Rohnert Park.
But the Vigilantes came back when Chris Briones hit a home run to drive in Sam Taylor, who had hit a double.
Mosher homered in the fifth.
John Homan went eight innings to get his third win for the Vigilantes (17-18). He allowed four hits and struck out seven. Kirt Kishita picked up his 11th save.
Bret Barberie had three hits and Carl Nichols had two base hits for the Vigilantes.
Chad Zerbe was the loser.
The three-game series continues today at 7:05 p.m., with Scott Singleton (5-9) starting for the Vigilantes and Tony Coscia (5-4) pitching for Sonoma County.
