Courses Scheduled on Sports Safety
Coaches, parents and other sports supervisors may be interested in signing up for a sports safety training course offered by the Ventura County chapter of the American Red Cross.
The course, co-developed by the U.S. Olympic Committee, will be held today and Dec. 10 from 5:30 to 10 p.m at 2355 Portola Road in Ventura.
It will also be held Dec. 26 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For those who want to take the class in the eastern part of the county, it will be held Dec. 27 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1919 Williams St., No. 200, in Simi Valley.
The course will train students in how to prevent and treat muscle, bone and joint injuries and how to administer CPR in extreme cases.
