Johnson Resigns as Coach of Chaminade Football Team

Chaminade High football Coach Tim Johnson has resigned after two years as head coach at the West Hills campus.
Johnson cited “noncompatability” in the athletic department for his resignation, according to Principal Gary Murphy.
Chaminade was 3-7 this past season and 4-5-1 in 1996. Both years the Eagles failed to make the Southern Section Division III playoffs.
Murphy said the school will begin searching for a replacement.
Chaminade is scheduled to leave the Mission League next season and join a league made up of Harvard-Westlake, Serra and Bishop Montgomery.
