Elton Brand scored 21 points and pulled down 12 rebounds, leading No. 3 Duke to an easy 126-64 basketball victory over Mercer on Sunday in Durham, N.C.
The Blue Devils (10-1) had six players in double figures.
Ricky Price scored 10 points in his first game since being declared academically ineligible last season.
Evans Davis scored 21 points for Mercer (3-7).
No. 15 Iowa 96, Puerto Rico-Mayaguez 37--Kent McCausland scored 17 points to lead the Hawkeyes (8-1) to a rout of the Tarzans (1-10) in the first round of the Christmas San Juan Shootout in Puerto Rico.

Richard Shaw got 15 of his career-high 21 points in the second half at Milwaukee, leading Marquette to an 86-68 victory over Dayton (5-4) that improved the Golden Eagles’ record to 6-0. . . . Blake Moses and Chad Wilkerson scored 17 points apiece to give Oral Roberts (6-4) a 97-53 victory over Tennessee Tech (3-6) in the first round of the Christmas San Juan Shootout in Puerto Rico. In other games, Southern Mississippi (7-1) earned a 79-66 victory over Loyola (4-4) and St. Bonaventure (7-2) stopped Furman, 58-46.
