NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (9-6) at MIAMI DOLPHINS (9-6)

* Kickoff: 6.

* TV: Channel 7.

* Storyline: With the Detroit Lions’ victory over the Jets, both the Patriots and the Dolphins clinched AFC playoff berths Sunday without even suiting up. At stake tonight is the AFC East championship and home field for next week’s playoff game, when these teams will meet again. New England beat Miami, 27-24, at Foxboro on Nov. 23 after taking a 24-3 halftime lead. Dan Marino had two first-half passes intercepted and returned for touchdowns, including a 100-yard effort by Jimmy Hitchcock, but Marino almost brought the Dolphins back. Miami will try to bounce back from being routed last week by the Indianapolis Colts, and the Patriots will try to bounce back from blowing a lead against the Steelers. The Patriots could really use Terry Glenn (hamstring) and Curtis Martin (shoulder), who are questionable.
