In other Marina tournament games:

Harbor City Narbonne 62, Huntington Beach 34--Courtney McKinney scored 11 for Huntington Beach, which couldn’t handle Narbonne, the tournament’s defending champion and ranked fourth nationally in one preseason poll.

Vista Rancho Buena Vista 50, Newport Harbor 27--Rancho Buena Vista (10-0), which beat Narbonne this week, jumped to a 13-2 lead in the first quarter and 30-10 at halftime. Kristen Urban scored 11 points for the Sailors (6-7).

Long Beach Wilson 50, Edison 37--Wilson got double-digit scoring from four players and outscored the eighth-ranked Chargers, 21-8, in the third quarter to blow open a one-point game. Christina Patterson had 10 points and Michelle Zylstra had 11 before fouling out for Edison (11-1). Wilson is 8-0.

Marina 53, Century 37--Natalie Nakase had 16 points and 12 assists, contributing 40 of the fifth-ranked Vikings’ 53 points, before leaving the game with 1:53 remaining. Marina (10-2) led by only three, 28-25, early in the third quarter before going on an 8-0 run. Chanda McLeod had 12 points and nine rebounds. Century (6-4) got 16 points and 11 rebounds from Aprile Powell, and 12 rebounds from Francisca Flores.

Mater Dei 62, Pacifica 35--The sixth-ranked Monarchs (6-5) took a 12-3 first-quarter lead and cruised as 11 of 12 players scored. Ana Grey (15 points) and Christina Colon (12) led the scoring. Pacifica (4-5) got 14 points from Tracey Downs and 12 from Jaymee Pendergast.

El Dorado 56, Santa Margarita 40--Stephanie Patten scored 14 of her 18 points in the first half to give El Dorado a 33-18 halftime lead. Jennie Bluth had 16 points and Yvette DeBruijn had 10 assists for El Dorado (9-1).

Fountain Valley 63, East Anchorage (Alaska) 34--Kelly Boeke had 25 points and Lindsay King had 13 for the Barons. East Anchorage, a perennial power in Alaska, arrived short-handed, leaving behind its best player and bringing with it two junior varsity players, according to tournament director Pete Bonny.

In the Cerritos Gahr tournament:

Esperanza 64, Los Angeles Washington 40--Allison Gerber scored 15 points and Beth Weidler added 12 for Esperanza (5-5).

In the Costa Mesa tournament:

Capistrano Valley 59, Montebello Schurr 42--Monique Mathews scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Capistrano Valley. The Cougars (8-2) will play Kirkland (Wash.) Lake Washington at 4:40 p.m. today.

Kirkland (Wash.) Lake Washington 43, Tustin 34--Genea Long scored 14 points for Lake Washington.

Brook Brown scored 12 points and had 16 rebounds and Kimberly Houston scored 14 points for Tustin (7-3).

Villa Park 61, Los Angeles Garfield 42--Missy Bynon scored 23 points, and had 11 assists and 12 steals for Villa Park (5-2). Bynon scored 19 points in Villa Park’s 36-point first half. Jennifer O’Keefe had 16 points and 21 rebounds for Villa Park. Garfield is 7-3.

In the Garden Grove tournament:

Magnolia 47, Beverly Hills 21--Stacey Smith scored 19 points and had 19 rebounds in a pool-play victory for Magnolia (4-4). Teammate Stacey Licarri scored 20 points and had nine rebounds for Magnolia.

Trabuco Hills 67, Bolsa Grande 19--Jennifer Rakowitz scored 14 points for Trabuco Hills (8-3). Teammate Emily Deeley also scored 13 points.

Rancho Alamitos 37, Santa Ana 18--Eurydyka Ciejka scored 10 points and Jamey Sims had nine for Rancho Alamitos.
