MARIST (4-3) at PEPPERDINE (6-4), 7, KIEV (870)--A constant in the Waves’ erratic season has been their impressive play at home. They are 4-0 at Firestone Fieldhouse and will try to eclipse their victory total of last season, when they finished 6-21. Pepperdine has shot better than 50% in its last two games and has done a better job getting the ball inside to forward Bryan Hill, its best post scorer. Guards Gerald Brown (18.4 points) and Jelani Gardner (12.8) continue to lead the Waves. Marist, like Pepperdine, has not played since Dec. 20. Three Red Foxes are averaging more than 14 points, topped by guard Bo Larragan--a transfer from Providence--at 14.9.
