Concert Set to Benefit Teenager in a Coma
Tickets are still available for a concert to benefit Amanda Arthur, a Newport Harbor High School student who was critically injured in an automobile accident in May.
The concert, featuring comedian Will Ferrell of “Saturday Night Live” and Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers, is scheduled for Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Newport Beach Country Club.
All the proceeds from the concert will help the Arthur family pay the medical bills for their daughter, organizers said.
Amanda Arthur has been in a coma with severe brain damage since a car in which she was riding crashed May 23.
Concert tickets, which are selling for $20, will also be available at the door.
