2 Teens Arraigned in Fatal Shooting
Two teenagers were arraigned Tuesday in connection with the fatal shooting of a Huntington Beach man.
Manuel Ruiz, 19, of Gardena and a 16-year-old Huntington Beach girl had been arrested on suspicion of killing 31-year-old Guadalupe Ramirez on June 26.
Police said Ramirez and Carlos Guerrero, 22, were standing outside their apartment in the 8000 block of Saru Circle at 12:45 a.m. when they were shot.
Guerrero is recovering from his injuries.
Ruiz was charged with murder and attempted murder.
The 16-year-old is being held at Juvenile Hall pending a hearing to determine if she will be tried as an adult, Police Lt. Dan Johnson said.
Ruiz is being held at Huntington Beach City Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
