SPARKS TONIGHT
Opponent--Cleveland Rockers.
Site--Forum.
Time--7:30.
Records--Cleveland 5-8, Los Angeles 5-9.
Update--Cleveland and Los Angeles each have a victory on the other’s home court. The Sparks bagged a 74-62 victory at Gund Arena on July 3, but the Rockers prevailed in the Forum four days later, 81-70. Cleveland shot a league-high 57% from the field in Saturday’s 95-68 victory at home over Utah. The Rockers have won two in a row and have outrebounded their last two opponents, 75-48. Cleveland guard Michelle Edwards returns after sitting out eight games because of a knee strain. Four Rocker scorers average in double figures: Isabelle Fijalkowski and Eva Nemcova (11.5), Janice Braxton (10.9) and Lynette Woodard (10.4). The Sparks, 2-6 since that victory at Cleveland, lost at New York and Charlotte on Saturday and Monday. After tonight, Los Angeles plays at Phoenix on Friday and at Sacramento on Sunday.
