vs.

Radio--KABC (790), KWKW (1330).

* Update--Nomo, who ranks fourth in the National League with 151 strikeouts, hasn’t won since July 11, a 6-2 victory over the Giants. He lost his subsequent start, July 16 at Florida, and didn’t get a decision Monday at Atlanta in a game the Dodgers eventually lost, 5-4. However, Nomo has had success against the Phillies this season, compiling a 2-0 record and a 2.70 earned-run average in two starts. Curt Schilling has been the subject of persistent trade rumors, but Schilling, agent Jeff Borris and Phillie General Manager Lee Thomas have yet to agree on the details of a deal. Schilling, who leads the NL with 191 strikeouts and is nine strikeouts from becoming the first Phillie to record 200 in a season since Steve Carlton led the NL with 275 in 1983, listed the teams he would agree to join. Among them was Cleveland, and the interest reportedly is mutual.
