Lancaster Coasts on Regan’s Homers
Jason Regan hit a pair of two-run home runs to power the Lancaster JetHawks to an 8-4 victory over the San Jose Giants in a California League game before 5,403 at the Hangar on Saturday night.
The JetHawks (22-14) won for the second consecutive game. They ended a three-game losing streak with an 8-1 victory over Rancho Cucamonga on Friday night.
Regan’s first home run tied the score, 2-2, in the first inning and his second gave the JetHawks a 7-3 lead in the fourth.
Regan, who has 15 home runs this season, was one of three Lancaster players with two hits.
Joe Mathis had two hits, two runs batted in and scored twice.
Starter Joe Mays (5-1) picked the victory for the JetHawks.
Mays gave up eight hits, three runs, all earned, walked four batters and struck out three.
Giuseppe Chiaramonte had three hits for San Jose. (17-19).
