Ex-Titan Bowen Signs With Celtics
Bruce Bowen, a former Cal State Fullerton forward, has signed a contract with the Boston Celtics.
Bowen, a 6-foot-5 forward, signed for a reported $950,000. He spent most of last season with Rockford (Ill.) of the Continental Basketball Assn., but signed a contract March 17 with the Miami Heat and played in one game. He hurt his knee and was placed on the injured list April 1.
Bowen played at Fullerton from 1989-93. He appeared in 101 games and is 10th on the college’s all-time scoring list with 1,155 points. He signed with Cleveland in 1995, but has played mostly in Europe and the CBA.
