Grant 21, Van Nuys 20--Alex Aguilar of Van Nuys was stopped short of the end zone on a two-point conversion attempt with five seconds to play at Van Nuys.

Demetrius Henry scored on a seven-yard run moments earlier to pull Van Nuys (2-7, 2-4) to within a point of the Lancers (3-6, 1-5).

David Smith, who rushed for 57 yards in 13 carries, returned the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown. Smith ran nine yards for a score with 45 seconds remaining to give Grant the lead for good.
