MEN’S WATER POLO
Pepperdine 8, UC Irvine 3--The Waves scored the first seven goals in a nonconference game at Runnels Memorial Pool.
Todd King scored three goals and Andy Bruininga and Alan Herrmann added two for Pepperdine (21-1), the top-ranked team in the nation.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Eastern Washington d. CS Northridge, 15-9, 15-4, 15-8--Nicki Midwin had 11 kills for the Matadors, but they lost the Big Sky Conference match at Eastern Washington.
Holli Sierra had nine kills for Northridge (14-12, 6-9 in conference play), which had only 28 kills and a hitting percentage of .025.
Chapman d. Cal Lutheran 15-9, 15-4, 15-9--The Regals (7-13) had 21 kills and 18 errors in 90 attempts for a .033 attack percentage as their season ended in an NCAA Division III West Regional first-round match at UC San Diego.
