Arce Gets Irish Up to Fourth Place

Junior Antonio Arce of Notre Dame placed 10th in the men’s race of the NCAA Great Lakes regional championships at Bloomington, Ind., on Saturday to help the Fighting Irish finish fourth.
Notre Dame earned an at-large berth in the NCAA championships on Nov. 24.
Arce, a 1995 graduate of Palmdale High, clocked 32:02 over the 10,000-meter course to help Notre Dame total 104 points.
Michigan, the No. 2-ranked team in the nation, placed first with 21 points, followed by Wisconsin with 74 and Michigan State with 88.
