GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Laguna Beach (2-0), ranked second in the county, visits fifth-ranked Newport Harbor (2-1) at 6 p.m. tonight. The teams have split two three-game matches this season, with Laguna Beach winning at the Orange County Championships and Newport Harbor winning at the Las Vegas Durango tournament last weekend. Sophomore April Ross helped Newport Harbor to a third-place finish at the Durango tournament. Other big matches today include Corona del Mar (2-2) visiting sixth-ranked Mater Dei (3-0), which won the Durango tournament last weekend, and Woodbridge (4-0) visiting 10th-ranked Capistrano Valley (3-2).
