Homicide detectives arrested a 20-year-old man Wednesday in connection with the Sept. 21 stabbing death of a woman found in her home last month, authorities said.

Travis Bone, a Sherman Oaks stockroom clerk, is accused of stabbing Cindy Fry, 30, multiple times in her Van Nuys apartment in the 6200 block of Mary Ellen Avenue, said Los Angeles Police Det. Stephen Fisk. Bone was arrested at the Van Nuys police station after he was called in by detectives for questioning.

He is being held on $500,000 bail in Van Nuys Jail, Fisk said.

Police said Bone is a friend of Fry’s boyfriend and that the stabbing took place after Fry asked Bone to leave her apartment.

“They got into an argument and things got worse,” Fisk said. “He stabbed her.”

Physical evidence and witness accounts linked Bone to the crime, Fisk said.

Fry, who was unemployed, had an 8-year-old daughter, who lives in Northern California with an uncle, Fisk said.
