Biola Hangs On, Trips SCC in Soccer

Biola scored three first-half goals and held on to defeat Southern California College, 3-2, in a Golden State Athletic Conference men’s soccer game Tuesday at SCC.
Martin Lippens scored twice for SCC (7-8, 2-3 in conference), giving him 10 goals this season. Biola improved to 7-8, 2-3.
In another conference game:
Fresno Pacific 4, Concordia 1--The host Sunbirds (11-1, 4-1) outshot the Eagles, 38-5. Joshua Egan scored on a header off Randy Waddell’s corner kick in the 39th minute for Concordia (3-10, 0-5).
In Golden State Athletic Conference women’s volleyball:
Point Loma Nazarene 3, Concordia 0--Concordia (3-18, 0-8) lost to Point Loma (15-4, 7-1), the NAIA’s 12th-ranked team, 15-8, 15-8, 15-0.
Cal Baptist 3, Southern California College 1--Tina Rose had 15 digs for SCC (11-10, 2-6), which lost, 12-15, 15-6, 15-3, 15-7.
