William A. Weigel; Retired Court Reporter

William A. Weigel of Camarillo, a retired court reporter for the Los Angeles Municipal Court, died Tuesday at his home following a brief illness. He was 85.

Weigel was born Nov. 9, 1911, in Washington, and was a 20-year Ventura County resident.

He served in the Army as a court reporter and was a UCLA graduate. Weigel worked as a court reporter for the Los Angeles court for 30 years.

He was an avid bridge player and golfer.

Weigel is survived by his wife, Donnie, and son Bob of Hawaii.

Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary, Camarillo.
