SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

Littlerock High football Coach Jim Bauer told his team there was no opponent he wanted to beat more than Highland.

Bauer’s players took those words to heart by defeating the Bulldogs, 35-21, in a Golden League opener Friday night at Highland.

“I’m real proud of both teams,” Bauer said. “They played their hearts out and so did we. They could have quit any number of times, but they kept coming at us.”
