Humphries Hopes to Play Sunday
San Diego Charger quarterback Stan Humphries, who sustained a mild concussion last Thursday at Kansas City, said he expects to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
The concussion was Humphries’ second in 11 months. It has left him with a continuing headache, but team doctors said he is fine, according to Coach Kevin Gilbride.

An MRI revealed that Seattle running back Lamar Smith sustained a stress fracture in his lower left leg against St. Louis on Sunday.
Smith’s injury will keep him out at least a month, Coach Dennis Erickson said.
