TONIGHT’S GAMES

Share

GREEN BAY PACKERS (5-2) at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (5-2)

* Kickoff: 6 p.m.

* TV: Channel 7

* Storyline: The significance of the game is more than just a Super Bowl replay. Both teams are trying to find the form they had last year.

“There are fundamental things we think we can clean up that are going to be necessary to win,” Patriot Coach Pete Carroll said after losing to the New York Jets last Sunday. “That’ll be a huge confrontation here Monday night.”

Green Bay’s problems are on defense, and other teams are running against them.

But the Packers are coming off a bye week during which Mike Holmgren gave failing grades to everyone--including himself. They’ll be ready.
