Pacific Sunwear Plans N.Y. City Store

ANAHEIM —  Pacific Sunwear of California Inc., in its first move away from malls, said Wednesday it plans to open a store in the Greenwich Village area of New York City later this year.

“We believe this could be the first of many Pacific Sunwear stand-alone stores,” said Greg Weaver, president and chief executive officer of the retailer of casual apparel and accessories for teens and young adults. The Company currently operates 237 stores in 37 states.
