Flintridge Prep 28, Coast Union 14--Trailing, 14-7, at halftime, the Rebels scored 21 unanswered points in the second half at Pasadena Poly.
Flintridge Prep quarterback J.P. Blecksmith completed 11 of 24 passes for 185 yards. Blecksmith completed a 17-yard touchdown pass to Peter Twist early in the fourth quarter to put Flintridge Prep ahead for good, 21-14.
Blecksmith also rushed for a touchdown and two two-point conversions, and kicked two conversions. His two-yard scoring run midway through the fourth quarter gave the Rebels a 28-14 lead.
Twist had seven catches for 129 yards, including a 67-yard scoring reception from Blecksmith in the first quarter.
Rebel tailback Evan Cablayan rushed 15 times for 65 yards.
Flintridge Prep held Coast Union to 19 yards in the second half.
