Humphries Remains Starter
San Diego Charger quarterback Stan Humphries, who lost three fumbles in Sunday’s embarrassing home-opening loss to the Carolina Panthers, will start Sunday against Seattle. Coach Kevin Gilbride said. Jim Everett finished Sunday’s game, leading to speculation that Gilbride would bench Humphries. Humphries has lost five fumbles in two starts.

The Oakland Raiders were unsure if they’ve lost five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Terry McDaniel, who hurt his right knee and did not play in the second half of Sunday’s victory at Atlanta.
Coach Joe Bugel said McDaniel has a strained knee and will not need an operation. Bugel also said McDaniel told him he was day-to-day, but Bugel said he was not sure about the results of McDaniel’s MRI exam.
