Police arrested four people they believe were involved in a bungled home robbery early Wednesday after the suspects bailed out of their getaway car in Buena Park, officials said.

Three teenagers and one adult, Alexander Carey, 20, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and attempted robbery.

Police were called to the 9900 block of Holder Street about 12:20 a.m. by a 21-year-old woman who said she was awakened by two men who broke into her house through a patio sliding door. The men held a gun to her head and demanded cash but were startled by the victim’s boyfriend and left, police said.

When officers tried to stop a suspicious car in the area, it sped away with police in pursuit. The driver and three passengers abandoned the car in Buena Park. Officers found all four suspects and arrested them without incident. Police said the car had been stolen from Westminster.
