Shuler Remains the Saints’ Quarterback
Heath Shuler, who has thrown no touchdowns and eight interceptions, will remain the New Orleans Saint starting quarterback, Coach Mike Ditka said.
Shuler was pulled in the second half of Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers after throwing three interceptions and replaced by rookie Danny Wuerffel.
“I brought him in here to be the player and I’m going to give him a chance to be that player without jerking him around,” Ditka snapped when asked why he decided to stick with Shuler.
