Loyola 38, Saugus 7-The Centurions (0-3) could not contain running backs Stephen Faulk and Wesley Willard, who powered the Cubs (3-0) at Pierce College.
Faulk carried nine times for 148 yards and scored touchdowns of 13 and 67 yards. Willard rushed for 112 yards in 10 carries and scored on a 20-yard run.
The Centurions’ lone bright spot came in the fourth quarter when they marched 90 yards in 10 plays, with Travis Ivey passing to Jon Strong for a 12-yard touchdown.
Ivey completed 16 of 31 passes for 208 yards. Matt Lane was the leading Centurion receiver, catching eight passes for 114 yards. Saugus gained 225 yards.
