Investigators Seek Gunman in Pacoima Killing
PACOIMA — Police were looking for a gunman who shot to death a 24-year-old Lake View Terrace man in a convenience store parking lot, but had not arrested anyone by Saturday night.
Demetrius Fears was found dead Friday at 2 a.m. in a parking lot in the 10700 block of Glenoaks Boulevard.
Witnesses told investigators that a gunman approached Fears from behind and shot him, a police spokesman said. The assailant then drove off.
Police said they did not know of a motive for the shooting and had not recovered the weapon used.
