T.G.I.T.: Thank God It’s Tuesday. Where to get your groove-on early in the week. . . .

Atmosphere (a special promotion on Tuesday nights) at the Viper Room, 8852 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, (310) 358-1880. With the resources to pull off this drum ‘n’ bass heist, the Viper Room and Grand Royal DJ Carbo showcase the world’s top deejays, with resident emcee Cokni-O giving it up, straight from his heart. 21 and over. Call for cover.

Club Goddess at Goldfingers, 6423 Yucca St., Hollywood, (213) 962-2913. This chill-ated party offers groovy live music, no attitude and a good place to hang on a lonesome Hollywood night. 21 and over, $3 cover.

Dirty Ed Tuesdays at Bar Deluxe, 1710 N. Las Palmas Ave., Hollywood, (213) 469-1991. Some folks migrate toward cleanliness in their nightclubbing--that’s what the Westside’s for!--but some like it down and dirty. Dirty Ed Tuesdays, which features live bands ranging from neo-punk to revvy metal, offers an aural retreat for the latter. 21 and over, cover varies.

Michelle’s XXX Revue at 7969 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, (213) 654-0280. A thriving lesbian dance club. Located in West Hollywood, natch. 21 and over, $10 cover.

The Muthaship at Queen Mary, 12449 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, (818) 506-5619. Conceptualized by the Queen’s doorman, Josh, the Muthaship has deejays Big Daddy Carlos and Richie Rich blowing the dust off this old transvestite club, bringing in some Hollywood beats and transsexual go-go dancers--just to keep things really strange. Look for live music beginning Tuesday. 21 and over, $7 cover.

Ronnie Mack’s Barndance at Jacks Sugar Shack, 1707 N. Vine St., Hollywood, (213) 466-2596. Thank your lucky cow-punk stars that this alternative country-flavored night of live music and dancing keeps on truckin’ each Tuesday evening. 21 and over, no cover.

Stagefright at the El Rey, 5515 Wilshire Blvd., (213) 936-4790. Closed our eyes for a second and when we woke up, a scene was born. This Tuesday night promo is offering some of the hottest L.A. talent. A recent show by that local kick-ass quartet Bluebird, with opening bands Goatsnake and Leopold, attracted the likes of Foo Fighter Dave Grohl and Rage Against the Machine’s Zach de la Rocca, as well as members of the Melvins, L7 and the Red Aunts and some of L.A.’s hottest chicas. For the record, that equals “A Scene.” 18 and over, $5 cover.

Wild Colonials at the Opium Den, 1605 N. Ivar Ave., Hollywood, (213) 848-9300. For a good time, call on the Wild Colonials, a rockin’ and raucous live band playing here every Tuesday through April 28. 21 and over. Call for cover.
