Matt Komer

Los Alamitos, Senior/Volleyball/Outside Hitter

Komer had 73 kills in two upset victories for Los Alamitos. In last Tuesday’s victory over eighth-ranked Esperanza, he had 45 kills and against No. 7 Fountain Valley he had 28, helping his team improve its record to 9-1, 2-0 in the Sunset League.

Ryan Hubbard/Baseball/Second base

* Huntington Beach, junior. Hit for the cycle as the Oilers upset No. 7 Fountain Valley, 13-11. He had six RBIs, including the winning double.

Travis Ingle/Baseball/Pitcher

* Cypress, sophomore. In only his fifth varsity start, he pitched a no-hitter against Century, striking out nine.

Attila Szilagyi/Swimming

* Mission Viejo, sophomore. Earned Southern Section qualifying times in the 500 freestyle (4:48.31) and the 100 breaststroke (1:02.59) to lead the Diablos over Mater Dei, 128-33.
