It’s a Pattern

News for the dish-devoted: Whether it’s luxury Christofle you set on your table or even everyday Corelle ware, there are new designs to collect. Corelle has four new patterns, including the swirly blue Oceanview, which shows a Mediterranean influence. Cool blue is prominent in the new patterns from Christofle: Jasmin, which is an elegant twist of a design, and the slightly more ornate Torsada.

Corelle dishes $3.99 (per piece), $8.99 (per 5-piece setting) and $39.99 to $44.99 (for 20 pieces) at Kmart, Wal-Mart and Corning-Revere factory stores. Christofle’s Jasmin salad plate, $40, and Torsada dinner plate, $48, available at Christofle in Beverly Hills.

Sweet and Sour

These tiny powdered sugar cookies look all sweetness and light but they have a bite of lemon that makes them more powerful than their pretty packaging would lead you to believe.

Hannah’s Delights Lemon Dreams $8.50 and less at most Southern California Williams-Sonoma and Nordstroms stores, at Fanciful in Los Angeles, Willow Manor in Rancho Santa Margarita and the Laurel Collection at the Los Angeles Athletic Club in Los Angeles.
