From Staff and Wire Reports

Albert Belle has finally signed with the Baltimore Orioles and will be introduced at a news conference today in Baltimore, the Associated Press reported Monday night.

There was no announcement by the Orioles, but the final agreement was confirmed to the AP by two sources familiar with the negotiations who spoke on the condition they not be identified.

Oriole General Manager Frank Wren had agreed Friday with Belle’s agent, Arn Tellem, on the financial terms of the deal--$65 million over five years, which makes Belle the highest-paid player in Oriole history.
