Tickets Go on Sale Today for Los Alamitos-Mater Dei

Tickets for Saturday’s Southern Section Division I football semifinal between Mater Dei and Los Alamitos at Edison Field go on sale today at both schools, at the stadium box office and through Ticketmaster.

General admission tickets, priced at $8 for adults, will be sold at Los Alamitos High today from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and at Mater Dei from 11 to 3. They will also be available at the stadium box office from 9 to 5:30 daily.

Reserved seats, priced from $10-$12, will be sold at Los Alamitos High Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 to 2. They will be sold at Mater Dei Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ticketmaster and Edison Field will sell whatever reserve seats are returned from the schools on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. The stadium box office will remain open until the 7 p.m. kickoff.

Student tickets are available for $4 only at the schools. Tickets for children under 12 are $4.

Mater Dei’s rooting section will start at the 50-yard line and go toward left-field foul pole; Los Alamitos’ section will start at the 50 and go toward home plate. Neither the right-field bleachers nor the stadium’s upper-deck level will be open, reducing stadium capacity from 48,000 to about 30,000.

In 1994, the semifinal game between Los Alamitos and Mater Dei attracted 30,321 to Anaheim Stadium.

In the Division VI semifinals, Santa Margarita and Irvine play at Saddleback College, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday. On Saturday night, Woodbridge and Servite will play at Cal State Fullerton at 7:30.

In the Division IX semifinals, Western plays at La Mirada at 7 p.m. Friday, and Brea Olinda and Lakewood Mayfair play at Cerritos Gahr High at 7:30 Saturday night.
