Laguna Hills, Pierson Rally Past Marina

Laguna Hills rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit and Josh Pierson scored 19 of the Hawks’ 24 fourth-quarter points to help Laguna Hills defeat Marina, 66-62, in a nonleague boys’ basketball game Thursday at Laguna Hills.

Pierson made five three-pointers in the fourth quarter and finished with 32 points for the Hawks. Marshall Houser had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Laguna Hills (3-2).

Scot Austin scored 18 points for Marina (4-3).
