Portland 67, Loyola Marymount 65--Dionn Holton made a 15-foot jump shot with five seconds to play and Troy Collins blocked a layup by the Lions’ Willie Allen as time expired in the West Coast Conference game at Gersten Pavilion.
The Lions (4-10, 0-2) tied the score, 65-65, on a layup by Kenny Hotopp with 23 seconds left, capping a 6-0 run.
Holton then dribbled downcourt until pulling up for his game-winning shot.
Jimmie Rainwater led Portland (8-6, 1-1) with 12 points. Collins had 11 points and eight rebounds.
