Croson Takes Over at Chaminade

Share

Ed Croson has been hired as football coach at Chaminade High.

Croson, 40, is the school’s athletic director and was formerly defensive coordinator for the Eagles. He will resign as athletic director in order to take over a football program that struggled under former Coach Tim Johnson.

The Eagles were 3-7 last season, 2-3 in the Mission League, and have failed to make the playoffs each of the past two seasons.

“I think we have to try to regain some of the spirit of the past,” Croson said.

Croson was an assistant coach at Chaminade for five years until taking last season off.

He said defensive coordinator Ted Corcoran, a former Eagle player, will remain on the staff.
